Isaac adhered to the Lord’s instruction, and the result is what we see in our opening verses. He grew, waxed great and became very great, so much so that the Philistines envied him in the same land that was ravaged by famine. God destined the man Isaac for greatness, and he would have strayed from that plan had he not harkened to the Lord’s instruction to stay back in Gerar.
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great (Genesis 26:12-13).
Follow the leading of God’s Spirit for your life. Even if you were at crossroads, refuse to be tempted to go in a direction that you know is contrary to what God has shown you or told you. Yield to the Spirit, for He alone knows and has the blueprint for your greatness, prosperity, and success. Your greatness isn’t determined by your geographical location or earthly nativity. It’s by your heavenly citizenship, and the continuous deposit of God’s Word in your spirit.
Greatness is your heritage. No matter where you find yourself: at work, home, in school, etc., have the consciousness that you’re destined for greatness.
